Barometer of feelings

  
Method Description: Using images, on which faces of children with different moods are represented, children discuss "how the child represented on the picture feels", eg sad, content, tired, frightened, tired, angry, relaxed, worried, ... Children learn to perceive and identify (identify) different emotions. For example, once a week, during the morning circle, we emerge a sort of barometer of emotions. This is a (eg bamboo stick) on which its glued all the faces representing the different affective states. Each child has a clothespin, which has been individually colored by the child in order to recognize it, and that it can hang on the image representing its emotion. If the child wants, he can also tell why he chose an image (an emotional state). The other children are invited to reflect on what they can do to support the child, eg respect, encouragement, listening ...
