(0 Ratings) | Box Train |
Method Description: | The method is consisted of making mini-train from cardboard boxes which the child/children can pull around the room/house. Cut one side off each box (or use a box without a lid) to create the carriages. Make a hole on one side of the first and last boxes and holes on opposite sides of the other boxes. Pass a length of string of about 15cm (6in) through the first box, link it to the second one and tie a knot. Do the same with the other boxes, until you reach the last "carriage". Ask the toddler to find toys or teddies to put in the train before pulling it around. Take some of the toys out to help her see what happens when the load is lighter. What happens if you step into one of the carriages? Talk about whether the train is too heavy, too light or just right. |
