What are the consequences for the unborn child if the mother smokes during pregnancy?
When the mother smokes cigarettes, some studies illustrate children demonstrating behavioural and inattention problems. Please consider and identify attention problems of a child within your practice.
Nicotine abuse during pregnancy is not always known, as behavioural and attention problems can have many causes. What steps would you consider useful before you include the parents / caregivers of the child?
