Chadsgrove School, Bromsgrove, is a day special school, judged 'Outstanding' by Ofsted (Office for Standards in Education – UK Government schools inspectorate) for 120 children (2-19 years) with physical disabilities, and additional sensory, communication or intellectual disabilities. 
Chadsgrove School is also a national Teaching School, and founder/lead school for the Chadsgrove Teaching School Alliance. 
In addition, it is a lead Schools Direct Initial Teacher Training (ITT) provider in partnership with the University of Birmingham and also has associations with the University of Worcester and Edgehill University providing ITT placements and SEN course lecturers. 

Chadsgrove Teaching School has a long-term commitment to educational research. The school was involved in the 2010-2012 UK Government Department for Education’s Complex Needs Research Project, for which it earned the SSAT Research Charter Mark Award.
Key staff have extensive research experience, and the school employs a Research Consultant one day per week to initiate and support practitioner research. 
Recent and current school research projects include: the Community Playthings Project (physical development), and the Butterfly Press Mental Health Resources research. The school has also contributed to the publication Engaging Learners with Complex Learning Difficulties and Disabilities (Routledge Publishers, 2015).
